In the heart of the Marquês' square, the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição (Our Lady of the Conception) does not go unnoticed.

There are 204 steps, a small effort that is rewarded with a unique view. Arrábida Bridge, Monte da Virgem, the cities of Ermesinde, Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, and also a view of the sea are part of the set of emblematic views that can be seen from the top.

Along the way we see up close the clock mechanism that controls the chime of the 18 church bells.
